The History Channel Premieres The UniverseSeason Three Opens with Deep Space Disasters on November 11
The History Channel explores the mysteries of The Universe in Deep Space Disasters. The third season exploration and science airs on November 11, 2008 at 9 pm.
The History Channel has announced that their series The Universe will premiere with Deep Space Disasters. The Universe begins their third season on November 11 at 9 pm. Fifty years have flown by since man first ventured into outer space, but the heavens are just beginning to reveal their greatest secrets. Deep space telescopes capture violent images of the birth of stars and of the stars collapse into black holes. Vivid computer graphics and top space experts bring the universe down to earth, showing earthlings what life would be like on other planets. This season the all new topics on The Universe will include a parallel universes, space disasters, light speed and sex in space. Each episode details the discoveries and how they were made by scientists and explorers. Season Premiere Deep Space Disasters On November 11 The season premiere, Deep Space Disasters, will air on November 11. The first episode of the season explores the controlled explosion of launch, the fiery crucible of reentry and everything in between. According to a press release from the History Channel, "In space travel there is a saying that the first 50 miles and the last 50 miles are the most dangerous. Trailblazing experiements by massive state-of-the-art particle colliders look for evidence of higher dimensions and Parellel Universes. Parallel Universes November 18 Some of the world's leading physicists believe that new evidence points to the existence of other universes. This episode explores theories of the universe including The Doppelganger Universe, The Multiverse and Many Worlds. Trailblazing experiments by massive state-of-the-art particle colliders look for evidence of higher dimensions and Parallel Universes. Light Speed November 25 This episode explores the law of physics that says that people can never travel faster than light speed. Light speed shows the history of the universe, going back nearly 14 billion years. Sex in Space December 2 The realities of sexual relationships and human reproduction in space is explored, along with the physiological, psychological and cultural challenges of sex in space. This episode explores how the extreme environment of space exploration might effect copulation, conception, developing human tissues and how issues about sex might impact the emotional lives of astronauts.
